EN: CHAMBERLAB opens a sonic space between chamber-like density and fluid dissolution. The acoustic sound of the violin unfolds into a multilayered, orchestral cosmos. Expansive string textures shift like tectonic plates, fragile melodies dissolve into hovering drones, while polyrhythmic structures pulse beneath the surface.

El sonido acústico del violín se despliega en un cosmos orquestal de múltiples capas. CONCIERTO PARA UNA ESCULTURA

DE ALEXA GRANDE

Sound Wasteland is an interactive installation by Alexa Grande, developed in collaboration with sound artist and musician Mark Matthes. Each element of the installation vibrates at its own frequency through a custom-built sonic mechanism, turning the sculptural structures into resonant bodies. Triggered by the movements and presence of visitors, the work generates evolving rhythms and fragile melodic constellations, as if the installation were a living organism. Sound Wasteland reflects on the uncanny atmosphere of abandoned urban spaces, where resonance can create moments of poetic beauty, yet at higher intensities also carries the potential for tension, rupture, and destruction.
